Talk about trying to sell and install hitches, the term “linkage” has been applied in the Israeli-Arab conflict and to the broader issue of global terrorism to include the premise that because Israelis occupy the biblical territory located in the mountains west of the Jordan River, then this is a rational explanation for Islamic extremism. Please allow us to direct your attention to this video above of Joe Biden right after the 2008 election trying his best to placate the Islamic world by stating that Israelis must cease settling, i.e., living in the territories in return for a promise from the United States that Israel’s security will somehow be guaranteed. When in fact, the territory which is the focus of so many is critical to Israel’s security because it is mountainous and provides potential high ground to anyone who might be interested in looking down upon Israel’s major population centers. It wouldn’t be a bright move to just let that go in return for nothing more than a promise on a piece of paper.

Yet today Biden makes the case that Israel has the green light to do what it has to do with Iran, which by the way has been one of the chief promoters of the linkage theory. And to top it all off even Saudi Arabia has been dealing with the Israelis to coordinate an attack on Iran’s nuke plants. Obviously, the linkage theory is now completely out of the question given the fact that it is well documented how the Iranian regime uses violence against its own people just like it does against Israel via its proxies, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas.

What changed? Did Biden suddenly just give up trying to install the hitch between Israeli settlements and terrorism? One can only speculate as to what in fact caused him to change course, but suffice it to say Biden would only sell such a device when he thought that Israelis were in the market for a moving company to box up their settlements and move them away. It’s not going to happen, especially now that the real reason for falling into such a trap has been exposed. As has been clearly displayed, many Iranians are sick of promoting their government’s policies and twisted logic linking the Holocaust to Israeli settlements. Barack Obama fell for this trap in his speech in Cairo, and now Biden has come in to unhitch himself from the do-it-yourself foreign policy of his boss.

The only people who are going to be in the market for a U-Haul are the ones who currently rule Iran, and who are going to be looking for a place to escape to. Perhaps that is the only question left now, which is that after the Iranian nuke plants are taken out, what is going to be done with the mullahs and the others in Iran who have been promoting this linkage theory. This is nothing more than an excuse to pack the Jews up and haul them out of the Middle East, and given what has now taken place there Biden has had to come out front and take a position that his boss cannot do because of his own flawed thinking that he foolishly made public in Cairo. However, the tipping point actually came last year when South Ossetia was invaded by the Russians. While Obama body surfed in Hawaii the Israelis were studying Russian missile systems which will be necessary for shutting them down during an attack on Iran.

It is becoming clear that go-time for Iran is getting nearer, and once this operation is completed then the linchpin in the global war on terror will have been removed, and the linkage debate will then likely be settled. No one will be moving away from the Middle East at that point except Ahmadenijad and the mullahs, and given the violence they have been perpetrating in the region for so long chances are they won’t be needing any moving supplies where they are going, which hopefully is straight to jail.
