Packing the bill with last minute goodies before the clock strikes midnight, Nov. 2, 2010, and they are all toast…
Here’s what the MSM won’t tell you about last night’s “historic” vote. As one Live Leak’er, ChopperTom, puts it: My question is this, WHY are the dems pushing this “1″ piece of legislation as hard as they are, and NOT concentrating on anything else especially after the “MANDATE” of “fuk the dems” from the recent elections????? If memory serves me right, this bill wont have ANY effect until 2 years from now. This [is] going to be used as an election ploy by the dems and the Prez(ie; if you vote for a republican, they’ll take away your HC).
Meanwhile, keep in mind that the Democrats quietly passed the Stupak amendment, which basically says that public money could not be used for abortions. Otherwise, about 40 anti-abortion Democrats would have bolted and voted against the bill. And so, you have to see how politics works. Basically, one covers their ass by passing a bill that can be used as a scare tactic later on during an election in which they know they cannot win. And then not to disappoint their lobbyist friends, they pay them off with taxpayer money (=stealing). And of course, they then feel compelled to throw their constituency overboard in the process because Catholic bishops were not for it unless they did so. Which is an about face to the anti-abortion crowd that is calling the health care bill one the biggest restriction on women’s right to choose that has been considered on the floor of the House.
Sweet….
