Notice the camera angle is always pointing up at him, even when he is giving a speech. This is no accident…

We do have to hand it to Obama that he sure has some of the best PR people in the world behind him. Productions like this are perfect for the media, yet perhaps we are just a bit mystified as to why this doesn’t get more press play. It actually does put Obama in a good light. For one, he is shown with wounded veterans, and number two it shows his now infamous left hook (appropriately named in his case).

Look, the guy is smart. He is a gifted politician. He has some of the smartest people in the country working behind the scenes to keep him scripted and on message. He plays to the camera perfectly, and we have even noticed that they try to make him look taller than he really is. Of course, anybody looks tall next to Nicolas Sarkozy. Maybe that’s why they had Obama in France with Sarkozy so much at the very beginning. To portray one as a tall man has its advantages.

Imagery being what it is, just that – an image and nothing more, it is difficult to match the man with the message that is out there. Even he himself would never probably stoop so low on his own to put America down because he does appear to be such a natural for the role. However, every good politician knows how to divorce their own personal interests from the equation when your goal is success. And the name of the game in today’s success ratio is media savvy and effective PR.

Folks, you just don’t get to make it to the top unless you are willing to put your own feelings aside and do what is required. Heck, everybody knows why Obama isn’t sending troops to Afghanistan quickly. He probably wishes he could, but his far left, anti-war base won’t have anything to do with it. It’s just politics. That’s all. But something tells us that this is about to change.

By tossing out Anita Dunn right smack dab in the middle of the Fort Hood massacre, Obama carefully dodged the critics for having her there in the WH in the first place. This is politics 101. And not referring to terrorism by name is a blatant attempt to kiss butt in the Middle East, which because of the falling dollar is teetering on the edge and oil producing countries have warned that they are about to give up denominating oil in the US dollar and just move to the Euro, which by the way would send the U.S. economy into the crapper for good. $10 per gallon gas is a slam dunk if that happens. Terrorism is the way in which Middle Eastern leaders get the message across that they need attention – or else. I suppose Obama got the memo and went easy on what was/is clearly a sleeper cell within the U.S. military. You do notice that the terror threat level isn’t even publicized any longer like it used to.

It is hard hanging out with these wounded vets because he knows that after Fort Hood he is now responsible for a number of them himself. He probably doesn’t like having to face this cruel fact, but it is the price of politics. And believe it when Barack Obama knows how to bargain off his nice guy appeal in return for playing the game of high stakes on the international stage. People get hurt in the process. One simply supposes that it is all just part of the calculus to politicians. One need not wonder whether the central purpose of having a standing army at ones disposal is economic in nature. Freedom is just another word for something else to gain, that is if you happen to be smart enough to know how to gain from it.

One would perfectly insane to believe that Barack Obama does not have enough sense to be able to see through flimsy political ideology that strangely links a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion and the ability of women to earn what a man makes in the workplace. In reality, neither of these issues is related except if one has an ideology to sell to women, which is what the various woman’s rights groups utilize in order to indoctrinate their followers. The same illogical stereotype is applicable to blacks, gays and every other ideologically-exploited victim group in America. The name of the game is to let the pitchmen do the propagandizing, while you just cheese for the camera and avoid any references to it.

The example that is being set nowadays is that all one needs to do in order to succeed is to pretend as though one really does have something strong in common with all the people who in turn sell an ideology of belonging to others. It is a giant game of propaganda laced with oddball photo ops in patriotic looking surroundings. Nobody dares to question the feminists about the emotional after effects abortion has on women, or whether Wal Mart may be vilified by ideological liberals however Wal Mart provides opportunity to women for advancement. It is just that the kind of women that Wal Mart hires and promotes does not fit well into the elitist view of women that feminists have tried to sell to everyone. Inconvenient truth after inconvenient truth must be swallowed, digested, and privately excreted in this era of politics. One must never let the issues cling to them if one wishes to make an impression.

Yes, it is almost like you want to like the guy in this video. He does seem so at ease with the whole scene with wounded veterans. To be a politician you have to let the dark side of decisions go. The decision to let brainwashed Islamic fundamentalists roam free in the military and then play basketball with wounded veterans is something that can only be explained by the kind of leap of faith one probably experiences while bungee jumping or parachuting. You have to roll with the punches and let the chips fall where they may. But you have to ask yourself whether he really means what he says because after all he is the one who said on October 27 that he would not risk the lives of troops unless “it is absolutely necessary”:

“While I will never hesitate to use force to protect the American people or our vital interests, I also promise you this — and this is very important as we consider our next steps in Afghanistan: I will never rush the solemn decision of sending you into harm’s way,” Obama said Monday during a visit to Naval Air Station Jacksonville. “I won’t risk your lives unless it is absolutely necessary.”

Being sent into harm’s way also means being stationed among those who would do you harm. Yet, on October 27, Fort Hood was not yet on the radar, and as we can clearly see there are those who have a way of inflicting pain at just the right moment in order to get a point across. That is, although he may think he can get away with sending in troops quietly so as not to raise eyebrows among his political base and the media, others around the world have networks that can alter that path and stain the nice guy veneer that the media created. After all, terrorists are nothing more than paid gangsters of the ruling elite of the Middle East. Say it ain’t so because the Saudis and the Iranians are knee deep into funding them.

Israel has been screaming bloody murder over a boat load of arms heading for Hezbollah from Iran that their navy happened to have intercepted, yet the story never made the light of day in the media. There is too much posturing going on to bother with overt violations of U.N. treaties, except when Israel is to blame. Political correctness requires besmirching ones friends publicly while assisting them behind the scenes. The U.S. military and Israel just finished joint missile defense drills. When it comes to Obama, never trust his public persona. Always look for what goes on behind the scenes, and the primary example of how this game works could not be exhibited more clearly by Netanyahu meeting privately with Obama during his visit. The time for small talk and posturing is clearly over. The public has caught on to this PR game, and it is time for Obama to put up or shut up.

It is important to remember that the politicians are a unique breed. They climb over dead bodies every day. They can shrug off slumping polls, high unemployment, and even acts of terrorism. But sooner or later, it dawns on even the best of them that there are others who also understand how it works where one can sell one thing and deliver another. It’s a tough thing to have to get busted for, because everyone wants to believe what they are told and what they see. It is difficult to bring oneself to recognize that some are capable of divorcing their beliefs from reality and doing what is politically expedient, i.e., correct. Yet that is exactly what Obama does, which is not very different from what other presidents of late have been doing.

The politicians make decisions and some people die as a result. It cannot be easy to make these decisions, however the hard part has to be keeping ones mouth shut. But this is the job of the political adviser, in this case David Axelrod, to portray the image of a man who is clearly not what he says he is. People are dying, and the economy is falling apart, and terrorist cells are still active, and despite the coolness exhibited on the basketball court, Obama has to know that the signal that was given at Fort Hood was unmistakeably that of al Qaeda as a direct result of his actions in Afghanistan and Pakistan. It was a warning shot that other attacks, perhaps more spectacular and deadly than that one was, are waiting and that Obama’s apology tour and appeasement strategy is being openly mocked.

He may look calm, cool, and collected on the basketball court, but he now knows he has to change his PR strategy because it has been identified. Obama was co-opting the same propaganda techniques that terrorists employ such as pitching utopianism to the ‘victims’ of society and promising them eternity. The leadership of these gangs sent a message that they can play this game, too. Plainly and simply, the way terrorism works is by scaring people, and the shootout at Fort Hood was the scare tactic that was employed. The purpose was to send the message that more are on the way, and that Obama may think he can get away with portraying himself one way for the public through the media and another way in private, however, there is going to be a price he is going to have to pay for it.

This is the faulty path of appeasing terrorists that everyone knows is a path to defeat. It is built upon bad PR and faulty propaganda. And it takes a duplicitous, lying SOB to pull it off, and the guy in this video is not looking so likable after all.

Point well taken. As I watched this video one can’t help but thinking that obomer missed his calling in life as a NBA basketball player representing his home country of Indonesia ! What a disgrace to the veterans of this great country. Thank you to all of the men and women who provide this blanket of freedom that this person is trying so hard to destroy.
