Here is a video from the Association for the Study of Peak Oil. Now that the global warming hysteria has been blown out of the water, it is time to take a peek at peak oil. The estimates are rather sketchy, however, most experts put peak oil occurring at anywhere from 2015 to 2030. That is, demand will outstrip new discovery. As one commenter on youtube suggested, the current political climate reflects the denial taking place, which can be compared to the Titanic: We’ve hit the peak oil iceberg, now things have slowed down and we’re in the boat trying to make sense of it all. Meanwhile the sedative media band is playing in hopes of the ship returning to its robust vigor. While all passengers mingle, the distinction of class becomes faded. And then there’s the one primarily responsible, the owner, trying to save his skin without anyone noticing.
In other words, the politicians are hiding behind global warming as an excuse for herding everyone onto the lifeboats of a classless society subject to limitations on energy use, whereas the real reason for doing so is to protect themselves against having to admit that natural resources are dwindling. In that respect, global warming is the feel-good approach being employed to convince people that they should pitch in and do something to help “save the planet”. Really what this means is that people should reduce their use of energy and pay the elites in government and industry a penalty, i.e., tax for doing so. What is occurring is the systematic thinning of the herd, if you will, which Charles Darwin referred to in his essays on the survival of the fittest. That is, the best case scenario for survival in the world is adaptation to the environment, which is diametrically opposed to what the politicians are saying, that being people can somehow ‘change’ the world. Admittedly, this is the big coverup right now, and thankfully now that global warming is off the table people can hopefully see this clearly….
